After all the pros and cons, the tos and fros and do’s and don’ts I have finally arrived at the decision that I will be devoting myself for a full year to two topics: a continuation of my ongoing project “Wild Coasts of Europe” and, of course, going “Slow Forward”.
As far as my landscape photography is concerned I will focus on a reduced number of locations, mainly coastal, and intensify my work on these. That’s one of the learning experiences from previous trips where I found myself trying to cover too many locations when I should have spent more time in one.
Equipment-wise I will be taking both digital and analogue equipment with me. Both technologies have their respective merits and I want to find out how far I can take both: the versatility of full frame DSLR and the back-to-the-roots, almost contemplative working style with the 6×17 panoramic camera. Oh, and I’ll bring an action cam along to play around with!
So which means of transportation then for a year-long Slow Forward journey? Well, since I’ll be travelling from coast to coast what better way could there be than to…? Exactly!
